Michael Scott may possibly become the most successful author of the next few decades, just because he writes directly to the next generation. Swain doesn't.*

It shouldn't come as any surprise to know that I really liked this. It's the sort of thing that shoud be published, but I think you'd probably need to be "established" before someone would take it on because of its complexity.
The characters are really well-drawn and became almost visible to me even though you don't go overboard on physical description. I like the fact that it is action and dialogue driven rather than set in a sea of poetic description.
I like the way the way your characters talk as people really talk and not like characters in a book. I think the ending is just as it should be; it gives a sense that no matter what happens, we always end up back at the beginning - or is it the end?

You've dealt with so many themes and story lines and you haven't shied away from anything. Let's see, we have : love, violence, sex, death, abortion, drugs, murder etc., and characters who go through the whole gamut of human emotions. There's also so much humour to keep everything rounded and to soften the blows of some of the more hard-hitting sections.

If this gets taken up by a publisher I am sure the film-rights would sell for a fortune because it has all the ingredients for a best-selling film.

I'll read it again, by the way, because it really is up there with my personal top ten favourite books. Do you remember that Irish comedian who used to say "It's the way I tell them,"? That's what sums up why your books work for me - it's not just the stories - it's the way you tell them.
